The York Region Community Choir is a non-auditioning mixed adult choir. See our About Us page for details.
Members meet every Tuesday evening from September to June to sing together, to rehearse for one concert in December and one concert in May.
We also build community as we build and re-build our musical skills. We have a breaktime every rehearsal for socializing, to share thoughts and stories inspired by the music we sing. We are a diverse group but we all share a love of music and have a lot more in common. We are children, parents and grandparents and have joys and challenges related to family. We are all adults and enjoy various physical activities and also have experienced physical limitations, and pain.
Many of us work during the day, and although we are sometimes exhausted before choir, we come and are revitalized and feel that we escape everything for those two hours.
Sometimes, we connect during the week. We have our Facebook Page and Facebook Group, the conductor’s blog and YouTube Channel, and have small groups that sing together, and group events too.

Members-Only Content -members can access sheet music and recordings as well as contact information for their choir friends. When there’s a member event or a small group meeting, the sign-up is done through this site.
